Job Brief

As part of the Total Rewards team, the role will manage and administer US employee health and retirement-related benefits program, which may include 401(k) plans, insurance policies such as health, prescription, life, and disability and leave policies.

Job Summary:

As part of the Total Rewards team, the role will manage and administer US employee health and retirement-related benefits program, which may include 401(k) plans, insurance policies such as health, prescription, life, and disability and leave policies, wellness and well-being programs. The role will manage benefits vendor relationships, open enrollment processes, plan/vendor renewals, and delivery of benefits as well as develop and conduct communication to employees. The role will monitor benefits related regulations and market trends to ensure that our programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with all regulatory filings and notices. This role will work hand in hand with Beacon's HR team to develop and drive benefits strategy and programs across the US.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manager all operational aspects of delivering benefits to Beacon employees
  • Partner managing Benefits Brokerage relationship, benefits strategy and renewals
  • Work with HR Business Partners to understand benefit related needs and support
  • Ensure benefit records are accurate and up to date in the record keeping system including new-hires and record changes are reflected timely
  • Assist in resolving escalated employee questions and issues by interpreting benefit policies and procedures
  • Develop communication materials to help employees under the benefits offerings and make informed decisions in their enrollment elections in addition to support benefit educational campaigns
  • Manage benefit providers and monitor statement of work deliverables
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all benefit activities
  • Conduct process improvement analysis and recommend steps to reduce cycle time and improve employee experience in various benefits administration
  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned and contribute to cross functional team efforts as needed to support business initiatives
  • Assist with the completion of all necessary regulatory filings and notices, study existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions; enforce compliance, advise management on needed actions
    Experience and Education:
    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience
    • Prior remote work experience preferred
    • Professional HR/Benefit certifications a plus
    • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit policies, procedures, and practices
    • Ability to performs complex tasks or projects
    • Ability to help lead and direct work for others on the team
