What you'll do

As the Sr. Director of Infrastructure and Security, you will lead the technical design, architecture, and operations support including strategy and business continuity for Kind Snack's technical infrastructure. In collaboration with the CIO, you are responsible for enterprise data security (prevent, detect, respond), IT compliance and disaster recovery. You will ensure reliability, scalability, resilience and availability for the enterprise technology infrastructure.

The Sr. Director of Infrastructure & Security role equires a leader with sound knowledge of technology management and cybersecurity coupled with a strong knowledge of business operations. This is someone who is capable of balancing the risk adverse nature of data security with the innovative infrastructure needs of a growing business. This role requires both entrepreneurial execution and strategic planning. The ability to execute at our current scale while simultaneously building capabilities for exponential growth will be critical. Equally vital will be the ability to collaborate and orchestrate work across KIND departments, including IT, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and others.

And here's how you'll do it

* Leadership - Direct infrastructure capacity planning and manage the IT Infrastructure team which includes 24/7 Infrastructure and Systems Operations, Infrastructure Architecture, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Storage. Direct staff to respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, manage infrastructure and security technologies and establish and implement policies and procedures.
* Planning - Identifies, Develops and Implements the IT Infrastructure Strategy and Roadmap aligning it with the overall IT and business strategic plans. This role will work closely with decision makers in various departments and business units to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology infrastructure and security solutions for the organization. This role will also develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for I&O and Cybersecurity to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within plan.
* Coordinating - Responsible for effective and efficient delivery of all internal and 3rd party managed IT Infrastructure used to support all business applications and processes across the company. Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
* Security - Lead and Manage the Information Security Plan which includes Cybersecurity, Security Architecture, Incident Response, Security Operations, Audit, and Compliance. Manage information security architecture for key infrastructures and capabilities, including, but not limited to: Identify & Access Management; Endpoints; Servers; Network; Database; Mobility; Cloud; Data Protection; Solution Development. Safeguard company data to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability through backup strategies, patch management, anti-virus, firewalls and content filtering technologies.
* Compliance - Responsible for ongoing development of security and compliance initiatives including threat and vulnerability management, identity and access management, PCI/PII compliance, security awareness. Assess and implement security solutions with remediation plans for areas such as intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, patch management, penetration testing and others. Develop and implement all IT policies, procedures, and governance including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
* Communicating - Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

* Bachelor's degree required
* 7+ years of leadership experience with information security & technology infrastructure, with progressively increasing responsibility.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels, ranging from board members to technical specialists
* Ability to handle multiple projects and simultaneously meet tight deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships and to collaborate effectively across functions and with existing/potential customers.
* Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
* Project management skills: financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management
* High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity
* High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision while being resilient to change
* Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated success in larger organizations with 'best-in-class' processes AND entrepreneurial environments where you've had to 'roll up your sleeves' and get things done
* Consumer packaged goods experience a plus, preferably in a food business
