Responsible for driving the growth and development of all high wealth activities, high profile partners and corporations within the region. Implements strategic plans to identify, cultivate, solicit/close and steward high wealth volunteers, donors and sponsors with purpose of growing existing revenue sources and creating new revenue opportunities. This includes special event and general fundraising, media relations, public relations, organization, administration and training. This position reports directly to the Chief Impact and Philanthropy Officer and is responsible for leading, managing and developing regional staff, Market Director(s) and Regional Managing Director in assigned area. He/She must reside the region that he/she will be overseeing but the exact location is flexible. Responsibilities: Align and implement organizational financial, marketing and branding goals to respective region. Cultivate large individual donor and corporate gifts through development efforts through networking and relationship building. Maintain fiscal accountability by meeting and exceeding measurable goals and providing accurate projections. Be a change agent for the organization and region; lead, promote, and implement initiatives that improve MDAs workflows, services, andprograms. Respond quickly, positively, and thoughtfully to organizational changes and unexpected challenges; leading through the change in a positive and mindful manner. Ensure the regional staff effectively partner with all departments within MDA in the execution of strategic directions set for the organization. Develop high performing teams to increase revenue, personal performance, and MDA programs. Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, work to facilitateindividual and team development that drives positive results. Qualifications: Requires thorough knowledge of fundraising and general management methods within nonprofit field. Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations. Understand extremely complex verbal or written instructions; understand data processing applications. Bachelors degree required. 9 or more years of experience in the field of fundraising, including 5 years of previous experience through levels of progressive management responsibility including supervision, budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development, cost control, manpower allocation, etc., and special events fundraising. Required to be living in the region s/he will be leading. Demonstrated experience in financial and budgetary management. Travel throughout the assigned region is required for this position. Use of personal vehicle in the course of employment to travel throughout the territory is required. Valid drivers license required. Evening and weekend hours are required.
