NTT DATA Services currently seeks a DB2 Database Administrator to join our team in New York City, New York (US-NY), United States (US). ResponsibilitiesThe DB2 DBA will be a member of the global technology team working on database projects and requested workload.Provide complete database life cycle support for mission critical databases using various DB2 tools and techniques.Participate in regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirementsUnderstanding of regulatory, legal and compliances issues for SOX and audit functionsProvide proper guidance and standards to application development teamsInterface with senior management Qualifications RequiredMinimum 5 Years' experience administering Db2 for z/OS databases in an enterprise environmentExperience with DB2 for z/OS, version 10 or higherExperience supporting a multi-terabyte environmentExperience supporting high throughput OLTP applicationsExperience supporting applications within a DB2 data sharing environmentKnowledge and conceptual understanding of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Logical and physical database design skillsProficiency in application related performance and tuning, including extensive SQL coding tuningExtensive Mainframe JCL experienceDetailed experience with DB2 utilities and database maintenance processingAbility to resolve Production DB2 issues quickly and effectivelyWorking knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for management reporting purposesExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsClear, concise and effective written and verbal communication skillsExhibit good time management skills, independent thinking and decision making capabilitiesOff-hours on-call support DesiredExperience with Computer Associates database tool suiteExperience with IBM Infosphere Data Replication and MQExperience working with Java, distributed platforms and applications Basic Qualifications:5 years of experience administering Db2 for z/OS databases in an enterprise environment3 plus years of experience with JCL This position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
