You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity and team happiness and motivation through the implementation of methods and strategies.Make important policy, planning and strategy decisionsHelp promote a company culture that encourages top performance, high morale, and an empowered team who consistently rises above expectationsIdentify and address problems and opportunities for the local office and companyLocally coach, counsel and discipline employees as needed (working under the Chief of Staff and CEO)Enforce policies and procedures, including ensuring people arrive on time and work as expected in the local office, tracking time off and lower productivity periodsBuild alliances and partnerships with other local organizationsManage awards process and tracking for agency and client workAssist recruiting team with recruiting local talent and host prospective employees in the officeHost clients ensuring the environment is professional, clean, and tailored to their expectations (pitch theater/staging, branding, serving refreshments, etc.)Prepare and complete action plansImplement and enforce standardsResolve problemsIdentify trendsMaintain positive, safe, healthy and encouraging work environment you must provide inspired leadership for the San Francisco office and company.Assist with travel booking and calendaring for CEO and local talentDe-escalate and help calm and focus team when there are many competing prioritiesMaintain a feedback loop between the local talent and managementResource appropriately by knowing the optimal person for the brief and how to get the best from the teamPlan and facilitate weekly Happy Hour celebrationsServe on cross-office leadership team and check in daily with Chief of StaffRequirements6+ years professional agency experience or combination agency and in-house experience for a major brandPrevious talent management of at least 5 direct reportsReporting skillsAbility to tailor the message for the audienceConflict managementStrong negotiation skillsAbility to influence and leadEntrepreneurial and collaborative mindsetAble to juggle many prioritiesAbility to de-escalate and help teamAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with people from many different backgroundsStrong morale compassBachelor s degree in operations management, communications or a related field (or convince us otherwise)BackgroundWe re not a traditional PR firm.
